The 50th Annual Loyola Jazz Fest offers performance opportunities and clinics for jazz groups as well as two concerts open to the public. Registration and more information available here.

Fr. James Carter has always been an avid supporter of the arts, particularly of Loyola’s College of Music and Media. During his tenure as university president, Carter was an outspoken proponent of arts education, and demonstrated time and time again his commitment to Loyola’s unique tradition of excellence in this field.

The last Jazz Underground of the season features Jamil Sharif on trumpet, Delfeayo Marsalis on trombone, Roderick Paulin and Tony Dagradi on tenor saxophone, Jeff Gardner on piano, James Singeleton on bass, and Shannon Powell on drums. Ticket required.

Evan Christopher combines virtuosity, immaculate taste, and enthusiasm with a commitment to exploring the full range of possibilities in the New Orleans clarinet tradition. Ticket required.

The Loyola Guitar Fest begins on February 7th. Performing artists include Adam Bock, Martha Masters, the Texas Guitar Quartet, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, and festival participants. 

All concert tickets are included with $50 festival registration. Some workshops are available for individual purchase.
